EXV 32Amp Automatic Transfer Switches facilitate seamless switching from a failing or failed heavy duty mains electricity supply to UPS and/or generator feed(s) to ensure 100% uptime for critical Computer/Server/comms equipment installations.

EXV 32Amp ATS systems can be mounted in conventional 19” racks, but are also suitable for underfloor, electrical cabinet or generator room etc. Installation.

EXV 32Amp Automatic Transfer switches have dual inputs, and either a single output to service an existing PDU, or multiple outputs so that they can function as a PDU or a PDU branch-feed unit as well, in which case we offer power on the equipment (output) side on multiple IEC C13 & C19 sockets, which we can feed to sub-circuits either of IEC, Schuko, UK 13A or any other type of power outlet socket.

Normal installation sees the primary feed to the ATS connected to the mains power circuit, with the secondary feed connected to an alternative supply (usually a UPS but could be a generator) which obviously does not have to be on the same phase.

EXV 32Amp ATSs monitor the condition of the mains power on the primary feed, and if it detects power conditions (such as falling voltage) which are undesirable for the supported installation it will automatically transfer the power feed away from the mains and onto the UPS back-up circuit, fast enough that systems attached are completely unaffected by the switch. The EXV 32Amp ATS will maintain the UPS circuit feed until it senses that the mains power is back to an acceptable performance and condition level, when it will (again seamlessly) transfer the power feed back to the mains input.

In addition to the monitoring/switching function EXV 32Amp ATS systems provide circuit breaker protection and are available in two intelligence levels – basic or IP managed. EXV Automatic transfer switches are also available in 10Amp or 16Amp versions.

There are six models of EXV 32Amp ATS:-

MANAGED (IP or Ethernet accessed and controlled) 32Amp ATS switches

EXV-ATS-3223C-10N2 (IP managed with 10 x IEC C13 sockets on the output side)

EXV-ATS-3223C-01C1 (IP managed with a single IEC 309 32Amp 2P+E socket on the output side)

EXV-ATS-3223T-01T1 (IP managed with terminal blocks for both input and output)

Simple (unmanaged) 32Amp ATS switches (STS units)

EXV-STS-3223C-10N2 (simple unmanaged ATS with 10 x IEC C13 sockets on the output side)

EXV-STS-3223C-01C1 (unmanaged ATS with a single IEC 309 32Amp 2P+E socket on the output side)

EXV-STS-3223T-01T1 (simple unmanaged ATS with terminal blocks for both input and output)

Simple 32Amp Transfer switches (STS) offer the same choice of connectors (either IEC 309M – IEC 209F, IEC 309M – 10 x IEC C13, or terminal block – terminal block) as managed switches, but simply do their job – maintaining supply to the connected equipment from the best of two alternative input sources.

Managed transfer switches (the EXV ATS range) do the same job, but in addition offer the following features:-


Power Metering	True RMS Current Meter, showing Voltage, Frequency, Power Factor, Active Power, Apparent Power, Total kWh, Sub-total kWh all on an LED display on the unit
Power Monitoring	Total Power Monitoring over Ethernet or internet by IP address – full Meter information as above.
