ECOserver model EGA is an ideal computing platform for virtualization and hosting of heavy applications such as SQL databases. Various options such as DVD, internal disks and hot swappable disks are available; the combination of a redundant power supply and an expansion capability for up to 7 low profile cards make this generic server ideal for a variety of applications. ECOserver model EGA accepts one or two of the latest XEON processors with 10 cores per processor.

ECOserver offers many advantages over mainstream branded servers, such as flexible stocking and deliveries, neatly arranged and coherent product lines and open pricing policy, which all mean that ECOserver is an ideal supply partner for projects, where we can specify the exact requirement of server for the job, and offer protection from price-gouging in the channel.

 

ECOserver - Energy saving measures

 

 

Where an ECOserver is to be used as a Virtualization server, for instance for VMware, Hyper-V or XEN we will use Low Power processors from Intel. The purchase price may be a bit higher but these costs will be recovered soon enough – your energy costs are probably in the region of £ 0.20 per kWh. ECOserver’s redundant power supply system is the most energy efficient in its class, as are our cooling fans. What you do not need will not be supplied – we will optimise your server for the task it has to perform, and extras like a DVD drive are therefore optional. We recommend that you only fit parts which will be used regularly.

General Information:

ECOserver Model EGA is a modular server for many different applications. It can be used as a high-end server to control multiple IP cameras and has enough internal storage for video recordings. Model EGA can also be used as a dedicated or Virtual Host server for datacenters. The 2U chassis offers expandability – up to 7 slots for low profile RAID controller or network cards etc. Full length expansion cards can also be fitted via a horizontal riser card. The front access offers great flexibility for hot swappable hard-disk drives, fixed drives, DVD etc. Model EGA features a redundant power supply for optimum availability.

ECOserver model EGA - Specific properties The unit can be delivered in three basic configurations; with a blind front plate to mount fixed drives, with two bays on the front to accommodate up to 8 x 2.5” SFF hot swappable drives or a mix. Model EGA can be built on μATX, ATX or EATX motherboards. Chassis cooling is optimized for dual Intel® XEON® CPUs. Model EGA uses energy saving fans, CPUs and power supplies and is designed to provide optimal performance from minimal energy use.
