ECOserver model EIB is the most popular ECOserver model. This is now the third generation of a design which we have continuously improved. Favoured by many users for many applications, this is a powerful 19-inch work station offers a solid base as server or server/client for IP security projects (in which case it is capable of hosting up to approximately 50 IP cameras). The physical chassis design is unique in its shallow built-in depth of 40 cm, meaning that it can be fitted in a standard communications rack – you do not need to have massive specialised server racks to house and run this server. ECOserver model EIB provides a lot of processor power and combined with the possibility to install six 3.5-inch disks for storage of data and two 2.5-inch disks for the operating system is very well suited to all aspects of IP security, building and access control. The USB port presented on the front of the chassis is ideal for quickly updating software, and an optional slimline DVD is also available. Up to 7 additional cards can be installed, for instance multiple video for video wall applications, PoE cards for inbuilt camera network provision, multiple serial cards for process control or PDU control.

 

 

ECOserver saves energy!

This server was developed from the viewpoint of its housing and functionality as well as its energy consumption. The ventilator fan is a low energy type, but it is possible to add a further fan if the environment in which to serve is housed so demands. A DVD drive is optional (in a server a DVD drive is seldom used, but always consumes power! The industrial grade power supply is 80plus certified, so the heat it develops remains as low as possible – it is attention to these fine details which make ECOserver units among the top performing and most energy efficient servers available.

Supplied in different colours, usually black or beige, but other colours and your own logo can be added upon request.

General Information

ECOserver Model EIB is a universal 3U-high 19-inch server that combines five important and defining features:

• energy efficient, only 45W;

• compact, depth only 40 cm;

• low noise level, 50dB;

• high internal storage capacity;

• expandable, in hard-disk drives and PCI or PCI-e cards.

Specific properties

The EIB is designed especially for the security market and is equipped with the latest generation Intel® motherboards with energy saving processors. The 3U 19 inch chassis can contain up to 8 HDD, SAS and/or

SATA so a high internal storage capacity is available. On average it consumes 45 Watt so substantial savings can be made on energy costs. Model EIB is available in several versions. Up to 7 cards, PCI or PCI-e, can be placed into the server. The front panel can be either black (with or without CD/DVD access) or white (with CD/DVD access).
