A server with integrated Power over Ethernet ports.

ECOserver model EIP combines the extensive power and all of the other advantages of our popular EIB server model with special motherboards allowing us to integrate PoE switching functionality into the server chassis. ECOserver EIP provides a complete integrated solution designed to be a host for multiple PoE IP cameras. ECOserver model EIP can be configured as a DHCP server so that it is able to automatically find each camera as it becomes live, and automatically issue that camera with an IP address. ECOserver model EIP is a specialised server for IP camera hosting.

IP camera support during Power cuts. Since the PoE functionality is supported by the internal power supply of the ECOserver, a UPS supporting the ECOserver means that camera and other PoE IP security devices will carry on working even during a power cut. ECOserver model EIP is designed as a building security and access control server.

 

Secure PoE IP camera network. ECOserver’s integrated PoE technology generates a completely secure camera network which cannot be hacked electronically since it offers no external network connection. Of course we have another discrete network port allowing downloads and management functions from another network or a remote location, but the uncompromised PoE network is essentially 100% secure. ECOserver model EIP is a network ready camera recorder for IP cameras and/or analogue cameras.

Fastest PoE network for IP cameras. The unique nature of the way in which ECOserver presents and manages PoE technology means that full Ethernet bandwidth is available for every four ports in the ECOserver PoE network, which means that you never have any data bottlenecks causing frame loss or any other network congestion problems which can be associated with conventional PoE deployment. ECOserver model EIP can be configured both as a camera server and a workstation for camera image viewing.

ECOserver products are built with a view to minimising power consumption, heat output and space requirements whilst providing the maximum practical processing power for the task given. General Information

 

ECOserver model EIP is a universal 4U-high 19-inch server that features many unique properties, including:

Specific properties

 

Model EIP is a server that was (and is constantly being) developed especially for the high-end security market. PoE solutions are increasingly popular, and as well as the convenience of a switch integrated into the host server, our PoE out-performs many other systems as we provide full Ethernet bandwidth per four PoE ports, thus avoiding network congestion, with its attendant picture and storage problems. Model EIP can be configured as a DHCP server so that all of the cameras will be given an IP address automatically. All of the PoE ports are always 15.4 Watts. Model EIP also has space for an additional PCI or PCI-Express card, so you can place an extra network card, video card or even a frame-grabber card so as to make a hybrid server. Model EIP can mount up to 6 hard drives internally.
